ACCHS PLACEMENT TEST

Submitted By Mr. Kocher - 3/14/2008 4:45 pm All 8th grade students will take the Allentown Central Catholic Math Placement Test on April 1, 2, or 3, 2008.  I will inform you which day it will be as soon as I know.  It will be given at St. Michael's while the other grades are taking IOWA's.  Algebra 1 students will be tested on their knowledge of Algebra 1 concepts.  Pre-Algebra students will be tested on their general knowledge of middle school math concepts. A student's grade will have a considerable impact on where the student is placed in math at ACCHS.  Students not planning to attend ACCHS can use the test as an opportunity to review the concepts they have learned.  ( Read more... )

PA MATH LEAGUE RESULTS ARE IN!!

Submitted By Mr. Kocher - 3/5/2008 11:32 am Thank you to students and parents for your wonderful response to represent your school in the PA Math League Contest.  We sent twelve 7th graders and six 8th graders to the competition.  Justine Malone finished in the top 14 students in 7th grade, and  Noah Robb and David Rosenberger finished in the top 11 students in 8th grade.  These three students will be recognized at the Awards Ceremony held at Allentown Central Catholic High School on Tuesday, March 11.  They will be told their actual placement at the ceremony.  Thank you again to all the mathletes who participated and their parents.  What an awesome group!!!!  ( Read more... )
